Hockey team to fly for Olympics tomorrow


LAHORE: Pakistan hockey team will leave for London Olympics tomorrow (Thursday), Geo News reported.

The players would be joining a training camp in Birmingham, prior to the Olympic contests.

The 18-member Pakistan hockey team led by the captain Sohail Abbas will be leaving Thursday morning to arrive Birmingham in the evening. The national team until July 22 will be training itself at the Cannock hockey club and will play practice matches against the host club and Scotland teams. Thereafter, the national team will leave for the Olympic village.

Pakistan Hockey Federation has authorized the team management for short listing the two players.
